Pracsys has been invited to participate in the Smarter Cities Conference – an initiative to help councils, senior executives and management learn how to effectively employ digital technology. Michael Chappell will be presenting on how to better engage constituents in order to achieve participative democracy and to manage change by measuring, analysing and transforming service delivery. PlaceCounts is a digital technology designed by Pracsys to help achieve this goal. It allows users to measure intrinsic values, like how safe people feel, and compare those values against directly observable elements like the number of security cameras. The presentation will discuss current challenges facing local governments, and the potential applications of the PlaceCounts system.
