Should suburban universities be redeveloped?
There is certainly a need to rethink the role that universities can play within activity centres (and as activity centres themselves) by promoting their unique value proposition in terms of access to skilled workers, employment, transport, and services. Murdoch University in WA is great example of such an opportunity, with an expansive campus located adjacent to major health and transport infrastructure and with few land assembly issues.
